That night, Val lay in bed, her thoughts tangled like a messy ball of yarn. She tossed and turned, unable to sleep as images of Jess and Amy being intimate in the living room flooded her mind, each one piercing her heart like a sharp knife. Finally, overwhelmed by exhaustion and confusion, she slowly drifted off to sleep.

In her dream, the scene was a hazy, ethereal realm, as if shrouded in a soft veil. Val found herself on a tranquil beach, the sunset casting a golden-red hue over the sand, transforming the world into a warm glow. The gentle waves lapped at the shore, creating a soothing sound, while the salty breeze played with her hair.

At that moment, she saw Jess. Dressed in a loose-fitting white gown, the hem swayed gently with the sea breeze. Jess's long, shiny black hair cascaded casually over her shoulders, a few strands brushing against her cheek, adding to her enchanting charm. Her face was well-defined, with eyebrows shaped like crescent moons and deep, bright eyes that sparkled like stars in the night sky, seemingly hiding endless affection and tenderness. Jess’s straight, high nose added a touch of dimension to her features, while her slightly upturned lips wore a captivating smile that seemed to dispel all the gloom in the world.

Jess's figure, partially concealed by the white dress, still revealed her alluring curves. Her full, perky breasts resembled two rounded peaks, rising and falling with her breath. Her slender waist, delicate enough to be grasped with one hand, perfectly contrasted with her curvy hips, reminiscent of a goddess from ancient Greek mythology, exuding charm with every step.

Val gazed at Jess, an uncontrollable urge swelling within her. Jess slowly approached, her eyes filled with burning love. Their gazes met, and it felt as if an electric current surged through the air, igniting the flames in their hearts.

Jess reached Val's side, gently extending her hand to caress Val's face. Her fingers were soft and warm, sending a shiver through Val’s skin. "Val, I've been waiting for you," Jess's voice was tender and husky, resonating like a heavenly melody in Val’s ears.

Emotions surged within Val like a flood, and she instinctively leaned closer to Jess, wrapping her arms around Jess’s waist. Jess’s body pressed against Val's, her full breasts squeezing against Val, enveloping her in an unprecedented softness and warmth. Val's heart raced as she looked up into Jess's eyes, filled with confusion and desire.

Jess lowered her head, slowly leaning toward Val's lips. Their lips drew closer, breaths intertwining. When Jess's lips brushed against Val's, a jolt of electricity coursed through Val's body, making her tremble slightly. Jess's kiss was gentle and passionate, her lips softly sucking on Val's, her tongue exploring Val's mouth, intertwining with hers. Val responded to Jess's kiss, gripping Jess’s shoulders tightly, as if afraid to lose her.

In that tender kiss, Val felt a happiness and satisfaction she had never experienced before. Her mind was blank, filled only with Jess's figure and that gentle touch. Their bodies embraced tightly, merging as one, becoming the happiest people in the world on that beach at sunset.

However, just then, a clear bird song shattered the dream's tranquility. Val jolted awake, her forehead slick with sweat, breathing fast and erratic. She sat on the bed, dazed, her eyes still reflecting the confusion and bewilderment of her dream.

"It was just a dream... just a dream," Val murmured to herself, trying to convince herself that it wasn’t real. Yet, the feelings from the dream felt so genuine; her lips still tingled from Jess’s kiss, and her body could still sense Jess’s warmth.

"How could I have such a dream? I’m not a lesbian; I’ve always liked men," Val repeatedly denied the reality of her dream, feeling a deep sense of fear and unease. She couldn't accept that she had feelings for Jess, fearing that such feelings would ruin their friendship and that she might fall into an inescapable situation.

To escape this chaotic emotion, Val decided to find a new boyfriend, wanting to prove her sexual orientation and to show Jess that she wasn't that affected by her. So, Val began to dress up intentionally, wearing pretty clothes and putting on delicate makeup, attending various social events to meet new male friends.

At a party hosted by a friend, Val met a man named Tom. Tom was tall and handsome, dressed in a well-fitted suit, exuding charm. He approached Val with a smile and greeted her.

"Hello, beautiful lady, may I buy you a drink?" Tom's voice was magnetic, his gaze filled with confidence and allure.

Val looked at Tom, a mix of emotions swirling within her. She knew she didn’t feel that spark for Tom, but she forced a smile and replied, "Sure, thank you."

As the night went on, Tom stayed close to Val, chatting with her and making her laugh. He shared many interesting stories, showcasing his talent and humor. Val appeared to enjoy their conversation, but inside, she couldn’t truly engage. Jess’s image kept surfacing in her mind, especially that scene from her dream.

After the party, Tom asked for Val's contact information, expressing a desire to see her again. Val hesitated but ultimately gave him her phone number. Back home, she sat on the couch, her mind restless.

"Am I really doing the right thing? Am I just fooling myself?" Val kept questioning herself. She knew her feelings for Tom were a facade, a way to escape reality. Yet, she didn’t know how to confront her feelings for Jess.

Meanwhile, Jess noticed Val's changes. Seeing Val deliberately dressing up and frequently going out made Jess uneasy. She couldn’t understand why Val had suddenly transformed, fearing Val might get hurt and worrying about losing her.

One night, Jess and Val sat in the living room, the atmosphere heavy with awkwardness and tension.

"Val, what’s been going on with you? You seem different," Jess finally broke the silence, concern and worry evident in her eyes.

Val looked up at Jess, a fire igniting within her. "What’s wrong with me? I just want to start a new life. I’ve met a new boyfriend; he’s great and treats me well," Val replied, her tone laced with defiance and indifference.

Hearing Val’s words pierced Jess’s heart. She hadn’t expected Val to find a new boyfriend so quickly, filling her with disappointment and jealousy. Yet, she masked her emotions, forcing a smile.

"Oh, well, congratulations. As long as you’re happy," Jess's voice was slightly hoarse, avoiding Val's gaze, fearing her emotions would be laid bare.

Val observed Jess’s reaction, feeling no satisfaction. Instead, she felt more conflicted and pained. She didn’t understand why she was hurting Jess, nor how to face this complex emotion.

That night, both Jess and Val sank into deep pain and confusion.

Their feelings were like a small boat in a storm, tossing in turbulent waves, unsure of their direction.

The dream Val had also became a turning point in their relationship, forcing them to reevaluate their hearts and the bond between them.
